Custom Designed Metalwork
For over 30 years, we have had the pleasure of designing, forging and installing many wrought iron art projects, both large and small. Morrell Metalsmith’s highly skilled artisans can create elaborate, one-of-a-kind designs based upon your personal vision. We work together with each customer throughout the process, creating customized pieces especially for their homes, whether it be interior railings, fireplace tools or other custom iron work. Our ornamental iron works span many art genres and we enjoy exploring the challenges and joys that come with each new design and space.

Custom Process
Each piece we create for a customer begins with a question: “Can you make…?”
This initial conversation is indicative of the Morrell Metalsmiths philosophy. Our custom metalwork projects are born from a conversation with you, the customer. This ensures that the ornamental ironwork we create will fit with your vision, sense of style and practical needs.
After the initial conversation, we will provide you with sketches of what we discussed. This will allow you to better envision the process, and makes sure we are all on the same page.
Once your custom forged iron piece has been carefully designed, our team of blacksmiths will bring it to reality in our Colrain, MA shop. From cutting the material to forging and forming it, our metalsmiths work to make your vision a reality.

Creating Your Forged Ornamental Iron Art
Once your custom forged iron piece has been carefully designed, our team of blacksmiths will bring it to reality in our Colrain, MA shop. The Morrell Metalsmiths workshop is equipped with the highest quality tools and machinery to ensure precision and accuracy in all of our forged ornamental iron pieces. From cutting the raw iron material to forging and forming it, our metalsmiths work to make your vision a reality.
