About the Class
A one-day introduction to the ancient craft of blacksmithing - perfect for beginners! Our expert smiths will take you through the basics of blacksmithing, then lead you through making your first item. End result: a hand-made project, by you, to take home and use.
Schedule
10am - 11pm:
11am - 1pm:
1pm - 2pm:
2pm - 4pm:
History of Blacksmithing, basic safety and equipment details, and initial demonstration.
Start forging! Materials handed out, stations assigned, and fires lit.
Lunch Break (please bring your own, or plan to eat at Pine Hill Orchards)
Class continues: demonstration, final project finished.

Please wear closed-toed shoes and long pants while participating.

Lunch is not provided. Please pack a lunch or enjoy a delicious sandwich from nearby Pine Hill Orchards.

If you have a blacksmiths hammer you've been wanting to try, bring it along! Otherwise, all you need for the class will be provided.

Available to all those ages 13 and up.

For students under 18, parental permission is required.
Rescheduling Policy
Class deposits are non-refundable. However, if you notify us up to two weeks (14 days) before class, you may switch to a later session at no extra charge.
14 days before the class and later: If you would like to change classes within two weeks of the start date, there will be a fee equal to 50% of the class price in order to reschedule.
