Workshops

Why Workshops?

Blacksmithing is an ancient craft, perfected over the centuries, and changing with technology.  There are many different aspects to learn, and different specialties that speak to different people. There is always more to learn, and it's exciting to have new teachers! Covering techniques from beginner to advanced, these workshops will help you expand your blacksmithing horizons!

Annual Anvil Repair Workshop

Have an anvil that needs some work? Bring it in to our annual repair workshop and bring it back to life! (or just clean up a few broken edges.) We spend the morning going over the anvils, figuring out just what needs to happen, and explaining the process. A few professional welders are brought in to help everyone out. They'll do the welding for you, but there's still a full days work for you to put in. New England Blacksmiths membership required to attend. If you'd like to learn more about New England Blacksmiths, please contact us or visit newenglandblacksmiths.org.
